Treble-Lines (Charanyca trigrammica) Male
An easily identified insect with the three dark bands that cross the wings being a consistant feature. They are found commonly in many open habitats during May through to July, and have a liking for weedy situations where its foodplants such as Plantain grow.
A widespread species that is found throughout the UK, being locally abundant in the South. |
