Four-potted Chaser (Libellula quadrimaculata)


A fairly common species that is found throughout the UK. It is another spring insect, flying from late April onwards. It easily identified by the presence of four spots along the leading edge of the forewings ( two spots on each wing), Golden yellow colouration to the latter, and yellow spots along the side of the abdoman.
