Tule Elk, Tomales Point Trail, Point Reyes National Seashore, California. These elk were almost extinct here, and were reintroduced, in the 1970s. Now there are at least hundreds, maybe thousands of them. Occasionally, park/wildlife officials sedate and elk and attach a tracking collar like this.
