a great catch ...you cant take a picture like this anymore !! ...landings at Hong Kong where always very spectacular !! ...our favourite on the flight simulator !! :-)

Yes Hans, the old chequerboard approach into Kai Tak was was spectacular to watch and be on board the aircraft. I had the honour to witness from the cockpit on board a Cathay 747 from the jump, seat thanks to a very nice training Captain:-))

you where very lucky Rob ...i only did the approach on the simulator ..never in real !!
