my parents used to drive a valiant - as a matter of fact, when i was 10 yrs. old, my family (mom, dad, two sisters and me) drove from san mateo to trenton, new jersey in one of those. it was painful!!!

We drove frmo Michigan to Maryland via Niagara Falls, and later Maryland to Mississippi in a CORVAIR with two parents and four kids aged (roughly) 11, 10, 8, and 1...

i suppose there was no car seat for the one yr. old - sat on you mom's lap, i'll bet. so in that case. . . we did 3000+ miles with three girls (11,10, 8 - no lie!) crowded in the back - i wonder which car was more crowded. hmmmmm. . .
